Arlington Lodge Country House & Restaurant
John's Hill
Waterford City Co. Waterford (Map southeast - J16)

Winner of LES ROUTIERS Award for Excellence 2002, Arlington Lodge was formerly the Bishop's Palace and has been superbly restored. This hotel is a real treat - individually decorated bedrooms, fine dining with country house cuisine, tall windows, stained glass & antiques all contribute to the great style and character of the house.

Maurice Keller has created a striking hotel in Waterford where attention to detail is the key to success. The gracious 18th century Georgian house has been lovingly restored to provide all the amenities of a luxury country house hotel.
As you enter through a stone walled entrance with imposing gates you see a beautiful old house with a stained glass door and tall windows. Throughout the hotel, antiques and paintings, chosen by Maurice, complement the style and character of the house.

Accommodation: There are 20 luxurious bedrooms, each individually decorated, furnished to create true comfort and some have four-poster beds and fireplaces. Facilities include hospitality tray, hairdryer, cd player, trouser press, ISDN lines and other extras. Broadband internet access available in all master bedrooms & junior suites.

Bar & Restaurant: As a member of Les Routiers, Arlington Lodge is all about good food, locally sourced and homecooked. And as a Country House, you can enjoy home made breads, jams, bread and butter pudding...

The snug-like William Morris bar with its curios and memorabilia is both relaxing and intimate. Bar Food menu is available daily from 12.30 until 7pm
The elegant Robert Paul restaurant places an emphasis on country house cuisine. A La Carte menu is served each evening from 7pm. Sample dishes include Roast Pigeon Breast, Champagne Oysters, Bantry Bay mussels, Fillet of Beef with glazed onions and Madeira Jus; Bread and Butter Pudding. A real effort has been made to source wines from less fashionable producers, though popular classics feature as well.
